How do I go from the launch on my laptop without blue screen of death popping up?
I have a compaq model 2000 laptop with Windows 2000 installed on it, and I recently installed a wireless card in it. he asked me to restart and after restarting, the blue screen of death appeared. told me to start again if this was the first time I had seen the screen so I did. the 2nd time and every time you restart after that, at startup, where it says: Windows 2000, the blue screen of death appeared. I tried to enter the Windows 2000 Emergancy Restore CD in the CD, but that does not help either. if someone could help me be grateful Vey.
Try to get the wireless card if you have not already tried. Assuming the above does not work, press F8 before Windows starts (just after the initial boot screen) and select Safe Mode from the menu. Hopefully, this boot Windows in the Safe mode (no drivers loaded, etc.) allowing you to uninstall the device and its drivers / applications. Hopefully get a backup. Finally, you can booting in safe mode and trying to use System Restore to resotre Windows to a date before making these changes, assuming you have System Restore turned on before this happened …
